Outpatient Services

New Opportunities, Inc. provides outpatient services to adolescents, adults, and families. Our treatment services are based on the most current research regarding effective treatment for substance use disorders and utilized evidenced-based curriculums.  We offer different programming options including both day and evening therapy services.  The services include: Comprehensive Individual Treatment Planning, Individual Counseling, Family Counseling, Group Counseling, Drug /Alcohol Testing, Crisis Stabilization, skill development, and referral for other needs such as mental health, medical, financial etc.

Intensive Outpatient

The intensive outpatient program is a nonresidential service providing regularly scheduled sessions for a minimum of nine (9) hours a week along with random drug testing in a structured program, which provides patients with the opportunity to remain in their own environment and/or retain their employment. The structured program objectives are to provide education on substance use, the addiction process, and personal risk factors, medical, behavioral, legal aspects of behavioral health concerns, responsible decision making, refusal skills, relapse prevention, and development of healthy coping skills, motivation, and building a positive support living environment.  

Extended Outpatient

The extended outpatient program is a nonresidential service providing fewer than nine (9) hours per week of therapeutic services. Individuals appropriate for this level of care meet diagnostic criteria for a substance use disorder.  This level of care focuses on but not limited to education on substance use, the addiction process, personal risk factors, medical, behavioral, legal aspects of behavioral health concerns, responsible decision making, refusal skills, relapse prevention, and development of healthy coping skills.

Continuing Care

The Continuing Care program is a minimum of one (1) hour per month and designed to provide a supportive environment for individuals who have completed a primary treatment, such as Inpatient, residential, intensive outpatient or extended outpatient.  They have completed one of New Opportunities, Inc.’s treatment programs or have been referred from another treatment facility following completion of their primary treatment. Programming may consist of individual or group sessions with primary focus on sustaining recovery for maintaining a recovery-based lifestyle.  

Early Intervention

This level of care is for individuals who do not meet full criteria for substance use disorder or disordered gambling, however they have met some criteria and/or demonstrate risk factors that appear to be related to an addictive disorder.

Adolescent outpatient

The adolescent extended outpatient program is a service providing fewer than six (6) hours per week of therapeutic services who need outpatient care for their substance abuse and addiction. Our program utilizes an evidence based curriculum which includes topics on: substance abuse/mental health disorder education, emotional health, group exercises/activities, role playing, relationship building, and learning the recovery skills necessary to implement and maintain a recovery-based lifestyle.
