Addiction Treatment Services in Iowa
New Opportunities provides confidential, affordable substance use disorder treatment for adults and adolescents in Audubon, Carroll, Greene, Guthrie, and Sac counties. Our licensed and certified team delivers evidence-based care that helps people recover from drug and alcohol use and gambling problems.
Services include assessments, individual counseling, group therapy, family counseling, referral services, and Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT). We address key services such as substance use disorder treatment, outpatient rehab, addiction counseling, OWI evaluations, and problem gambling treatment.

Counseling, assessment and referral services are provided for adults and adolescents experiencing problems in their life due to substance use or problem gambling.
Counseling is available on an individual or group basis and is also available to family members and/or friends. All services are provided by professionally trained and certified staff in a confidential setting. Click here for our brochure.

- Iowa Medicaid Program accepted
- Insurance is accepted by most private insurance companies for substance abuse treatment
*New Opportunities Inc. is a safety net provider, with services funded by the Iowa HHS and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration. As a safety net substance use disorder provider, services are not denied based on the ability to pay.
Confidentiality
All services are delivered by professionally trained and certified staff in a confidential setting. New Opportunities complies with federal confidentiality law 42 CFR Part 2, which protects patient identity and treatment records across all programs.
Drug Screening and Alcohol Testing
New Opportunities provides urine drug screening and alcohol testing with on-site results. We use a 6-panel drug screen and the Alco Sensor for alcohol testing. All confirmations of drug screens are completed through Alere Laboratories.
