Free Back-to-School Supplies
For many low-income families, affording back-to-school shopping can be challenging. New Opportunities provides support for low-income families by offering free school supplies to low-income children. These services are available in seven Iowa counties: Audubon, Calhoun, Carroll, Dallas, Greene, Guthrie & Sac.

Sign-up deadlines vary based on county, and you can drop off or mail in your form to your Family Development Center. Supplies are distributed to families in August before the start of school. Students in preschool through 8th grade are eligible for free school supplies. For full eligibility guidelines, contact your county Family Development Center.
