Summer Food Service Program
New Opportunities, Inc. is excited to announce that the Summer Food Service Program “Fuel Up for Summer Fun” has started and is a success (Thanks Shawna and Kelli for all your hard work getting the programs up and going)! The Summer Food Service Program offers free meals and snacks to all children ages 1 – 18. The purpose of the program is to provide nutritious meals to children that they need during the summer. Lack of nutrition during the summer months may set up a cycle for poor performance once school begins.
New Opportunities partnered with the USDA to offer two open sites, one in Carroll at Graham Park and one in Audubon at Audubon Town Square this summer. The program started June 5th and runs every Tuesday and Thursday through August 2nd.
