New Opportunities, Inc. Awarded Grant from Warren H Timmerman Charitable Trust
Thanks to a grant from the Warren H Timmerman Charitable Trust, New Opportunities Head Start will be able to offer a program promoting positive parenting and additional hands-on resources during the 2011 – 2012 school year for Carroll County Head Start families. The funds will be used to host a kickoff event with presenter Jim Gill, who will promote literacy and positive parent/child interaction through stories, songs and dance. In addition funding will purchase supporting resources helping parents on how to raise emotionally healthy children and learn what to do when your child gets sick and what to do for heavy kids.
